FDA's FSPCA Food Safety Preventive Controls for Human Food Qualified Individual (PCQI) Workshop (PCQI) that meets FSMA requirements New FSMA regulations require companies to have Preventive Controls Qualified Individuals for key personnel in charge of developing, implementing & maintaining Food Safety Plans & activities. There are differences between HACCP & Preventive Controls; a HACCP Certificate doesn't meet all FSMA requirements.

Dr. Hood was selected for the 1st FSPCA Instructor Training for Preventive Controls for Human Food for Qualified Individuals (PCQI) & is accredited as Lead Instructor for this class. He has over 30 years food industry experience in food safety & quality, technical, regulatory & management, including at high profile companies as Johnson and Johnson (in their Splenda regulatory approval) and Quaker Oats; is founder & Managing Director of American Food Safety Services; has taught well over 2500 individuals in food safety issues such as HACCP, SQF, GMPs, Internal Audits and PCQI; and has assisted over 300 companies achieve certifications & pass certification audits such as Food Safety, HACCP, & GFSI, including SQF.
